I finished reading this book last weekend. I enjoyed it. Not as much as I enjoyed Ms. Tans previous novels I dont think theres any particular difference between Sunshine Becomes You and her 4 books prior to this. It seems too formulaic. I cant decide whether this is a good thing or a bad thing for a writer. Does that means that the writer has not develop their writing skill thru the course of time? Or does it simply means that the writer has found his/her style? But wont that bore the readers?

have you ever watched 'Music and Lyrics' ? hmm. that movie has a same beginning with this novel. A pianist versus his 'maid'. I thought I could predict its ending. again and again, Ilana Tan always has a great way to twist the story. full of art thingy and yes, it feels like you spend your life in New York. so descriptive.

Dear Ilana,mulai bosan nih dengan plot kamu. Sudah baca novel 4 musim dan hampir semuanya sama.There's always something hidden by one or two characters.I'm getting bored!!!Overall, Sunshine Becomes You is another good sad-ending novel.Kalau kalian memang suka baca novel yang sedih, this is quite good, I guess.Tapi geregetnya ga kayak Autumn in Paris.. *justsayingCheers!

I borrow this book from my friend, and i loved this book so much. But i feel a little disappointed with ilana tan. I feel like her writing became so boring, and most of the words are same, she used the same words for expressing the characters feeling, and just said that "blalala i don't know" hm.. I would love to wait until the movie release and i think i will enjoy the movie tooooo :))

Im sorry for the hardcore outhere, but honestly i give 2 stars because when i heard Ilana Tan was going to published a new book, i expect a masterpiece. I already read her 4 seasons work and i love all of them, but this book, i actually dissapointed. I dont know, its so thick. I force myself to complete this and whosh whosh its a very cruel ending. She gives us a little hope in the very last chapter just to throw us away, huft.
