I read the prequel "Marked", first and now, Chosen, the first book of the Valkyrie Academy series. I am very impressed and look forward to reading more of the books. This is very much worth your time and effort to read.

An Amazing Beginning!In Chosen Kara, a wingless Valkyrie set out to prove her worth to the winged Valkyries and Odin, while trying to protect the dragons. Chosen is an exciting and entertaining tale with action, adventure, epic battles, twists, and great heart. This is a book worthy of the beginning of a series. Its just too short. I highly recommend starting this adventure with the Valkyrie Academy Dragon Alliance. Excited to read book 2 VanishedI received a free copy of this book. This review

The downtrodden shall riseA good read but ..... Okay it's not for me but most people will love it. Wingless valkyrie are treated as slaves, maids and utterly useless. Kara however thinks that all are important even though she doesn't have wings. Picked on by the Mistresses and the winged valkyrie she still determines to prove her worth in battle and reaping of souls. Plus there is the added problem of the dragons. If she can keep from getting in trouble with Odin and the head mistress Valkyrie. She's off to a strong start with her friend Elan, a golden dragon. I am excited to continue her adventures.

Well crafted story; great fun!An excellent new author; more fun and faster paced than Anne McCaffery. These books should not be limited to preteens -- aren't we all still waiting for our long overdue Hogwart's letters to arrive -- as the writing and story will appeal to readers of all ages!
