Description In Favor Of Books Last Chance Book Club (Last Chance #5)
"Last Chance captures the essence of Southern charm and quirkiness. I'm totally captivated!" --- Sherryl Woods, New York Times bestselling authorAfter a painful divorce, Savannah White wants nothing more than to find her happy place. So when she gets the chance to pack up her life -and her son - and move to the idyllic town where she spent childhood summers, she jumps at the opportunity. Last Chance is just as charming as she remembered. She's even invited to join the local book club, where talk soon turns to Savannah's plan to bring the ramshackle downtown movie theater back to life. A new challenge is just what Savannah needs to move forward.. . .
Dash Randall wants to put his fortune to good use, but he remembers Savannah as the bratty "princess" who descended upon him each June, causing no end of trouble. But the teenager he remembered has grown into a gorgeous and generous woman, and it isn't long before Dash finds himself wanting to make brand new memories with Savannah. But first, Dash and Savannah will need to make peace with their pasts to find a new chance for love.

This is a good one. Not really, really good. But definitely a good one. (Am I making sense?)Anyway, on to our couple: Savannah comes home to Last Chance, the only place she 'considers' home, with her 12-year old son. Divorce and fed up with everyone else. Dash is a recovering alcoholic and injured baseball player. And Savannah's not-so-cousin cousin. At first, I was a little bothered, trying to remember if they were really related. Because marriage among family members (even though it's legal inAfter all the other Last Chance books, I was a little surprised that Dash and Hettie didn't end up together, but I'm really happy about how his story ended up. The whole surrogate father storyline is one of my favorite devices. The only thing I wish is that the transition into other characters had been a little smoother. Zeph Gibbs appearing out of nowhere was strange and now apparently Molly's book is next? It was weird to be introduced to her so suddenly, but I guess that has more to do with
Reviewed by Kimfor Read Your Writes Book ReviewsWhile you dont have to read the previous books in the Last Chance series, it helps to know who the characters are. In this installment, we get to dig a little deeper into just who Dash Randall is. I have to admit I was surprised by what I found. Dash Randall, the alcoholic of Last Chance, South Carolina is SO much more than he appears to be. Savannah White needs to get away. Away from her mother, ex-husband and ex-mother in law. What better place

2.5 stars! These Last Chance books are fun! Perfect for summer.
Savannah left her home town to start a better life for her and her son. She wanted to get away from her ex-husband and his family. She felt by moving back to where she spent her summers it would be better for her son to grow up. She just never thought that she would find a home where she wanted to stay. She also did not think she would fall in love againDash grew up in a small town. He lost his baseball career and became an alcoholic. He is now recovering from both and decided that going back
For some reason, Ive never picked up a Last Chance book until this week! And wow, was I missing out! (That seems to be a trend with me lately, I stumble upon a series late and fall madly in love.)I started this book out a bit annoyed, Ive got to be honest. See, Dash and Savannah are cousins. Well, sort of. Not really. Dash is sort of an orphan who just got shuffled into the family and thus was treated like a cousin, but is actually no relation. Which is fine. Except that Savannah keeps calling
I always find it weird when people who call each other "cousin" get together in a romance--even though the book says they're not really related, it is still very odd. Other than that, I thought the story of Savannah and Dash was very sweet, especially Dash's willingness to be there for Todd, Savannah's son. 3.5 stars.
