After all the other Last Chance books, I was a little surprised that Dash and Hettie didn't end up together, but I'm really happy about how his story ended up. The whole surrogate father storyline is one of my favorite devices. The only thing I wish is that the transition into other characters had been a little smoother. For some reason, Ive never picked up a Last Chance book until this week! And wow, was I missing out! (That seems to be a trend with me lately, I stumble upon a series late and fall madly in love.)I started this book out a bit annoyed, Ive got to be honest. See, Dash and Savannah are cousins. I always find it weird when people who call each other "cousin" get together in a romance--even though the book says they're not really related, it is still very odd. Other than that, I thought the story of Savannah and Dash was very sweet, especially Dash's willingness to be there for Todd, Savannah's son. 3.5 stars.
