Hardline is a wonderful follow up from Hardpressed. We get to see Erica and Blake's relationship evolve more. I freaking loved it. While there was hardships and all kinds of fuckery going on, it was a lighter read than Hardpressed. Which in my opinion, was needed! Wanted to throw my tablet numerous times in the second book. This book was such a disappointment.What happened to the sassy, independent business savvy Erica we met in the first book? She just decided to hand over herself 100% to Blake because she loved him and she didn't like the distance between them? Not to mention that his mind games and complete manipulation reminded me of emotional and mental abuse instead of a 'healthy' D/s relationship.I felt like the author wanted to jump aboard the Christian/Gideon train and inserted BDSM and D/s relationships
