I'm finding myself giving this book and the essential guide to vehicles and vessels 5 stars simply because of the huge amount of hours I spent looking through them and escaping boredom by escaping into a fantasy realm. of course the schematics are great, and the page long description of everything is great too. part history book, part sears catalog they're a great buy for the star wars nerd out there. young or old.

Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Droids does a great job of informing the user everything they want to know about the Star Wars droids. The schematics are great and descriptions are very informative. I found that I enjoyed this book a lot more than The Essential Guide to Planets and Moons, which I though focused too much on what happened ont he planet or moon, rather than the body itself. If you love Star Wars and the droids in the films, books, comics, etc. interest you, this is the book for

This one has schematics, which IMO makes it better then the New Essential Guide, with its CGI illustrations.
